Severe Migraine, Vomiting, Pain In The Lungs. Have Anxiety. Need Treatment?
I had a really bad migraine today that took two or so hours to get rid of... ( by taking showers and various other techniques) it went away by vomiting, the initial throw up hurt my chest but I needed to get it out.. now about two or three hours later I tryed eating a pb and j and only when I was swallowing my right middle to lower lung hurt... I've also had bad anxiety for over a month and that's one of the areas that is affected with minor pain..... I'm just wondering if it'll go away by letting it be?
Hi and thanks for the query,
The most important thing in your treatment is actually making a proper diagnosis of what you actually have, and being very compliant to treatment. I would suggest a complete gastrointestinal tract evaluation also be done to exclude peptic ulcer disease or gastroesophagal reflux disease.
A chest X ray might also be very necessary to exclude a lung infection. Stool examinations and cultures are actually very appropriate. Complete blood counts in search of raised white blood cells could be suggestive of a generalized bacterial infection.
You need might need to get a reevaluation from your treating physician for the migraines, and maybe book for an appointment with a psychiatrist for management of anxiety when confirmed.
For now, a complete medical examination by your internist of primary care physician might be sufficient.
thanks and hope this helps,

Before diagnosing migraine. it is better to get evaluated for other causes of headache, specially high blood pressure. Try to find out factors which precipitate headache and prevent yourself from these precipitating factors.
Common precipitating factors for migraine:
-Stress and anxiety: Stress or psychological upset was the commonest triggering factor
-Increasing physical activity
-change in weather
-fasting
Relieving factors:
-NSAID medicines
-Sleep
It is better to get evaluated by psychiatrist for anxiety and start treatment accordingly.
Wish you all the best.
