Severe Neck Pain After Accident. Prescribed Muscle Relaxers. Could It Be Anything Else?

My daughter was in a car accident Saturday night. It was serious enough to deploy the air bag, brush her knees and have bruising from the seat belt. Tuesdy night she was vomiting and woke up Wednesday with severe neck pain. She went to the doctor and the only thing he did was give her muscle relaxers. Should he have been looking for anything else caused by the accident?

Hi, Welcome to Health care magic forum.
As you describe it appears that there are soft tissue injuries, which can not be assayed, unless explained.
Though there is vomiting as there is no direct injury to the head, head injury is excluded.
But soft tissue injuries should be care fully delt. I advise you to consult a surgeon for diagnosis and treatment.
I usually prescribe to my patient with such symptoms ofloxacin, acyclofenac, paracetamol, serratiopeptidase. and some rubificient.
Wishing for a quick and complete recovery. Thank you.
