Severe Pain In Abdomen, Paining While Breathing, Sitting, Loss Of Appetite. Taken Magnesium Citrate, No Affect.
Severe pain in abdomen, centered and below sternum. It hurts to breath in, bend and sit. Also I have felt full for 2 days, like after thanksgiving dinner full. No appetite at all. I tried ingesting a bottle of magnesium citrate because it almost fee,s like constipation but high in my abdomen. No effect at all from the laxative.
Hello, Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum. For this case of acute pain in the abdomen and behind sternum , I wouls come up with these measures , these includes. 1 Acute gastritis ( hyper acidity ) developed by overeating , greasy ,junk , spicy foods . Take some antacid ( if ingredient is oxetaxaine it is good) but if the symptoms are severe you may need some proton pump inhibitors. 2 As you mentioned that pain aggravate due to bending ,so possibility may be pancreatitis . Diagnosis can be confirmed by examination of serum lipase & amylase . Because in pancretitis usually pain become worse due to bending or sitting. 3 For constipation get in glycerine enema as many other laxative type of drugs will further aggravate pain in stomach. In my opinion consult a physician and get his consultation. Good luck. Dr. HET
