Sharp Pain After A Stool. Why Is It Not Leaving?

Hello, I just went to the bathroom and took a number two if you would like to put it, and after I was done I had very sharp pains that I thought would go away. I went back to my room to lay down but now I have very sharp pains in my lower body. I checked to see if I had maybe started my period but I didn t. I am a 13 year old female and I am very worried even though I don t think it s that serious.

Hello!

Thank you for the query.

Such symptoms usually appear due to rectal fissure. This condition is caused by mucosa tear by hard stool or by hard pushing on stool. Usually the pain is localized in the rectum, bleeding with fresh blood can appear. To get rid of it you should avoid constipations (increase fiber rich products and mineral water intake), avoid fatty foods and have more physical activity. Sitz baths with Quercus Cortex and washing rectum after every bowel movement will help as well. You can also use suppositories for hemorrhoids.
Such treated fissure should get healed in a week or so.

Hope this will help.
Regards.
