Sharp Shooting Pain, Burning Sensation In Breast. Small Mass Found In Mammogram. Lost Sister To Breast Cancer. Solution?
Hello my name is Christina, I am having sharp shooting pain in my right breast. It feels centered in the nipple. It also has a burning sensation. It hurts for my bra to touch it when it is burning like this or the sharp shooting pain is present. This started about 3 weeks ago and now its gotten to the point of severe pain when it starts. This really scares me because I lost my sister to breast cancer 4 years ago at age 37. I am 47. I had a mamogram done and a small mass was seen on my left breast. I panicked after the death of my sister and I never went back. I am so scared and hurting. What should I do?
Hi Christina!
welcome to HCM!
I think you have developed a subareolar abscess, a subareolar abscess is a lesion that is located on your nipple or right beneath your areola.subareolar abscess may cause pain and a small tender lump.
Such kind of presentation is very rare in cancer,so dont worry but get yourself examined, take a course of antibiotics and get an FNAC done when the pain reduces.
I sincerely hope this will help you!
Take care!
