Shin Injury, Veins Prominent, Tingling, Tenderness

I took Hunter for a jog and then as we were on the sidelines a ball headed for us and I stopped it with my shin. It did not hurt but when I looked down five minutes later all of the veins were popping out around where the ball hit and it was tingling . It looked bizarre and I considered emerg. but it settled down a bit and it just a bit tender now. Weird!
