hi doctor good evening, i have been in merina IUD for 16 months,recently i had to draw blood for college purpose and result came out that my TSH level is 9.i have been gaining weight like one pound a month since i inserted IUD,i surfed internet a lot to see if there is any easy ways to correct my hypothyroidism. i found many people using thytropin PMG without priscription and i ordered one and started taking that medicine.since then i am having shortness of breath,dizziness etc now a days.i do not know if thats the side effects of or drugs or interactions. please help me solve my problem..TULSA

Hi Tulsa,

Thanks for your query.

Self-diagnosis and Self-treatment is always dangerous. Stop taking Thytropin immediately.

Instead, you may take Thyronorm 25 micrograms once a day, empty stomach early morning. Nothing should be taken for at least 1 hour after Thyronorm.

Repeat TSH after 6 weeks. If it is still high, the dose will need to be increased. I suggest that you consult a doctor, who will prescribe the drug and follow up the response under his close observation.
