Shortness Of Breath, Headache, Head Feeling Hot. Diabetic And Has High BP. Cause?
My 61 year old husband has been having shortness of breath for the past couple of months. He is on blood pressure medication and is diabetic 2. At night he feels his head is so hot he has to put a cold facecloth on his forhead and often has a headache. He sleeps with a cpap also . Last time he had this shortness of breath was caused by low hemoglobin and he had to get blood.

There are several possibilities for your husbands symptoms given the chronic diseases he has, it could be related to an imbalance in his medication which could lead to increased blood pressure in between the hours he takes them, hopefully you have a way of measuring his blood pressure when the headaches and the hot feeling are more severe to reveal a correlation of the symptoms, same goes for his blood sugar levels since at high levels the sensitivity is also increased, and given hi sleeps with a cpap we could established that hes having respiratory complications, my recommendation is to talk about this symptoms with his current physician or if not contact a specialist in internal medicine so he can perform the tests necessary to correct his blood levels and also determine the hemoglobin and correct the current prescribe medications if neccesary.
