Should Duphaston Intake Be Continued While Experiencing Vaginal Bleeding During Early Pregnancy?
We detected pregnancy by strip test after passing 10 days of expected menstrual periods. We consulted doctor after wife was feeling little pain in abdominal area and she checked the condition by transvaginal ultrasound but could not see anything, may be due to early pregnancy. She recommended duphaston tablet and it is already 2 days using it. Today my wife again felt pain in abdominal area and there was some bleeding as well. Please suggest if we should continue using Duphaston ?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. Thanks for asking. I understand your concern. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Pain & bleeding after positive pregnancy test denotes possibility of early pregnancy with hormonal deficiency. In such case you should continue Duphaston, take rest, consult your doctor for alteration of dosage/addition of medication. Confirmation of the condition would be after 5 weeks report.
Thanks.
