Should Gabapentin Intake Be Stopped In A Person Experiencing Severe Side Effects Such As Seizures And Vomiting?
I do not understand about this drug Gabapentin. My son has been taking it for a while but just recently with in the past few days he has been having seizure and falling, shaking and vomiting. The vomiting stopped. Some of the Seizures calmed down but he is still having problems. My question is should he stop taking this med?
This drug is used to treat partial seizures. But the drug won't cause seizures. It may can cause allergic reaction, drowsiness, unsteadiness , tremors and memory problems.
Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is.
Please don't stop the drug abruptly.
Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
