Should HCQs Be Stopped While Breast Feeding?
I have been diagnosed with DLE 6 years back. I am taking HCQS(200mg) from 6 years. Now I am 9th month pregnant and still taking HCQS one per day. Should I need to stop HCQS while I am breast feeding? Is it ok if stop it suddenly after 6 years. Will my DLE gets aggravated? Please advise me.

Hi dear,
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
HCQ should be taken in pregnancy as well as in breastfeeding to avoid any resurgence of the disease.
There is no ill effect on the baby due to intake of HCQ in breastfeeding.
