Should I Be Concerned About A Dent In My Jaw After A Fall, Despite No Lasting Effects?
I fell and it my jaw on a hand rail, I got knocked out but overall am fine and have no lasting effects. The spot where I hit my jaw is dented from the impact but doesn t after eating, chewing and is only sore getting better everyday. Should I be concerned
If you do not have any other effect except a dent and all the functions of jaw are normal. Also, if you are not having pain, swelling, redness or these are getting better, you may not have to do anything more except observation. However, if you get any pain, swelling or redness or these increase, then it is an indication to see your doctor. Also, if the dent is visible or prominent, then you may also consult a doctor for cosmetic purpose.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
