Should I Be Concerned About A Possible Infection After Child's Ear Piercing?

My daughter has had her ears pierced for about 12 weeks. Her left ear bleeds a little every time she puts in new earrings. She has no redness or discharge from the earring hole. Should I be concerned about a possible infection and take her to see her PCP? She is 9 years old.

Hi,

Yes ,it is unusual to bleed after 12 weeks of ear piercing.

It is better to show her to the doctor.

Infection should be ruled out.

Good luck
