Should I Be Concerned About Brown Spots Around My Neck?

I am 37 years old of hispanic descent and am noticing brown spots around my neck. I am thin 130 lbs 5'7 very fair skinned no major medical problems other then i was diagnosed as hyperthyroid years ago and have been on medication. Seems like it could just be an ethnic condition. Should i have it checked it does'nt bother me other then pure cosmetic reasons ...it does'nt make me feel very confident wearing things that show off my neck. Its not very dark but im concerned the spots may get darker or i may begin to get more of them.
