The cavitory lesion on chest x ray always gives impression of pulmonary TB. And I would say it is not a serious disease but you should be cautious as it is a slowly growing disease plus an infectious disease. By not taking treatment you are damaging yourself plus spreading disease in the community as cavitory lesions are open source of TB bacilli. So start treatment as soon as possible according to weight.
