Should I Be Concerned About Persistent Ear Pain After Using Soli-wax Ear Drops And Attempted Syringing, Despite Taking Painkillers?

I was not able to hear properly, My doctor suggests me to use Soli-wax ear drops for 5 days. After using it for 2 days I am having severe pain in my right ear when informed to my doctor, He told it is common and prescribed me a pain killer and he also attempted to syringe my ears in pain but after 3 tries i couldn t bear the pain. He informed me to continue the drops and come after 3 days. Should I be concerned about my ears, coz its still paining after taking pain killer.

Hello,

Take Naproxen or Combiflam, one stat after food to get relieve from pain. Get clinically examined by an ENT, if it is wax then you can continue to apply Soliwax ear drops in the affected ear, 3-4 drops thrice or four-time a day. It will help to soften, disperse and dissolve ear wax. When the ear wax dissolves, it will come out by itself, just keep wiping it with a soft cotton cloth. Do not use ear buds or sharp objects.

If needed, treating doctor will do ear wash in the OPD as it is an outdoor procedure. Do not do it yourself. You will spoil your ears. When wax melts & comes out, your ear pain will get reduced. But in case, the pain is due to infection or ear drum problem then you will be accordingly treated.
