Hello,
Certain food can cause the color of the stool to become red due to the natural red pigment in them. Since you have no other symptoms with it, you may not be worried. In case you develop symptoms like pain, weakness,
fatigue,
dizziness, etc., then you should get clinically examined by a GP to rule out medical conditions like colon polyp,
colon cancer,
injury to the anal area, fissures, hemorrhoids, etc.
You may have to get Stool examination (R/E & C/S), coloscopy, etc., done. Your treatment will depend on the pathology diagnosed. In case you do not develop any such symptoms, then you may not be worried. Take a balanced homemade balanced diet so that you do not take cranberry in excessive amount so as to change the color of your stool. Take water and fluids adequately.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K, General & Family Physician
