Should I Be Concerned About Soreness On The Face And Stiff Neck While Suffering From Hay Fever?

Visited Japan, returned with a cough, stuffy nose, sore throat, sneezing, no fever......went to urgent care Saturday morning and he said I also have hay fever and put me on A z PAC, Claritin and mucinex......now I have a sore face and a stiff neck.... should I be concerned?

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Stiffness in the neck may be due to meningism or meningitis. It may be due to viral infection . please consult your physician and get checked for CSF analysis that you didn't got Infection spread to meninges. Continue antibiotics, if observe vomiting, altered sensorium or seizure then consultyour physician immediately.
