Should I Be Concerned About The Tissue Discharge During My Period?
I am currently on my period & found a piece of tissie on my pad which was not a clot. I am on Nuvaring but put in the ring a few weeks late & had to take plan B when a condom broke during sex. I have never seen tissue like this before, should I be concerned?
Tissue discharge per vagina commonly occurs after a miscarriage. Sometimes people may experience discharge of fibroid tissue if they have fibroid. Fibroid tissue can be passed per vagina after a focused ultrasound procedure. Broken pieces of tissue and blood clots may also accompany bleeding after a miscarriage.
When a miscarriage takes place, the fetal parts, the placenta and the fluid sac are usually expelled from the uterus but broken pieces or tissues may come out later. You are suggested to get clinically examined by a gynecologist, get all requires tests and investigations done. You will be managed and treated accordingly.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
