Should I Be Concerned About Tiredness, Cold Sweats And Shortness Of Breath After Taking Lasix?
I have CHF. Hadn’t 7 pound weight gain in 2 weeks. Had fatigue, cough, stomach distended and SOB. Took PRN proventil inhaler. Dr placed me a booster med (met to help Lasix. I was not urinating that much with the Lasix. Could feel fluid in lung/back. I take 80 mg Lasix a day. Lost 5 pounds last night with the booster and Lasix. Took another 80 mg Lasix this morning and to take another 80 Lasix tonight per doctor instructions. Feeling tired, had Cold sweat, and some SOB. My Cardiologist is 3 hours away as I need to find a new doctor. Do I need to be concerned?
The current tiredness, cold sweats and short breath after taking Lasix are due to fluid loss from the body and possible hypotension induced response.
I would suggest getting to an ER without delay for further management. Till that time, drink plenty of liquids by mouth.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
