Should I Be Concerned About Trouble Breathing After Taking Prednisone For Bronchitis?
I have had bronchitis for over a month. I have completed one round of Doxycyline and started prednisone two days ago. I felt much better yesterday, but today am feeling worse. My lungs and chest feel tight. I am having trouble breathing and am supposed to go to Lisbon where it will be damp. I am concerned about getting worse or getting others sick. Please advise. I need to discuss with my pulmonolgist tomorrow and need to make my final decision by Tuesday. Thank you.
hi welcome to hcm i have read your question and concerned about your worries as you said you had bronchitis for last 1 month AND you had taken antibiotics for it and started on prednisone but it appears to me from your condition tha t it might not be a simple bronchitis as normally we wont prescribe prednisolone for bronchitis. i would suggest you to visit your pulmonologist for a detaailed evaluation with xray and spirometryand if necessary a sputum g/stain andc/s test
