Should I Be Concerned For Slight Pain In Prostate Gland?
I HAD A DOCTORS APPIONTMENT AND HAD A PROSTATE GLAND EXAM. IT HAS BEEN ONE MONTH NOW AND I HAVE DISCOMFORT IN THE AREA. THIS DISCOMFORT IS LIKE AN IRRITATING PAIN OF 1 ON AN PAIN SCALE LEVEL. IM IN MY EARLY TO MIDDLE 40'S WITH NO MEDICAL PROBLEMS. I AM VERY HEALTHY. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ABOUT THIS?
From the information you have provided, there is really no reason to get concerned. I strongly believe this irritation is due to some form of minor trauma that you suffered during the exam and not from any pathological process. Besides, did the doctor report any abnormality with this gland? However, should the symptoms worsen over time, it would be a good idea to get it looked into, even if it were to be just for assurance purposes that nothing terrible is going on.
I hope this helps and provides some more information for you to act on. Feel free o ask for clarification an more information if need be. I wish you well and thank you so much for using our services. Dr. Ditah, MD.
