Should I Be Concerned For The Infant Crying Unusually, Having Irregular Heart Beat And Feet And Lips Bluish?

I have a a grandson born in Barbados on December 26,2013, his mum and dad noticed the irregular fast beating of the heart and regular unusual crying. It was discussed with the pediatrician today during his check up, she also observed that the bottom of his feet looked bluish and also his lips. He has been detained in hospital for further tests and observation. I am so afraid is there anything I should know, or what can be done to help my first grandchild???

As you mentioned that there is bluish coloration of lips , this is a cause of concern . The 2nd cause of concern is bottom of feet are also bluish colored.
Grandson also having rapid heart beat .
All these symptoms may be due to CONGENITAL HEART DISEASE .
Diagnosis can be confirmed by consultation with a cardiologist .
Short supply of OXYGEN may be due to heart disease , that's why infant is having bluish discoloration .
This is concerning so consult a cardiologist at earliest.
