Should I Be Worried About Abdominal Discomfort And Light Bleeding Two Weeks After An Abortion?
Hi I had an abortion 2 weeks ago now I bled for for the first two days then it stopped then on day 3 it started again now I’m feeling discomfort in my lower abdomen which feels like my womb or uterus it uncomfortable to pass gas & I’m still having light bleeding should I be worried?
It is natural to have light bleeding after abortion. Avoid heavy work and get examined by a GP. Get per vaginal examination done to detect any remains of placenta or perforation that may be causing you symptoms. If remains of placenta or fetal tissues are found, it will be removed by the treating gynecologist. In case of perforation, you will need urgent surgery. Get treated. At present, you are advised to stay at rest, avoid doing heavy work. Take home-made food rich in iron, calcium and proteins.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
