General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
Hi,
PCOD is problem of ovulation. Ovulation is either irregular or absent in this case. Once you had ovulated, had unprotected sex and have seven weeks gestational sac seen in USG. Doctor has advised for review after 2 weeks.
It must be to confirm embryonic development and appearance of heart beats (which could be at fault due to defective ovulation) and so, you should be worried of PCOD, after conception. It is only till normality of embryo is confirmed with USG scan. Please follow your doctor's advise and get repeat USg done.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
