Hello,
Your symptom is indicative of
pruritus ani, a skin condition that affects your perianal area, which may become worse at night or after a bowel movement. Anal itching is commonly due to poor anal hygiene, allergies, certain foods and drinks and other health conditions. You are instructed to take care of your hygiene. Apply a thin layer of
hydrocortisone ointment on the affected area to get rid of itching. Try to use water-based lotions as lubricants.
You can take antihistamine at bedtime to reduce itching and feel better. You can get clinically examined by a
Urologist to ensure you have not hurt your anal area, to rule out abrasions, cuts or tear. Abdominal discomfort is not related with this, if you have not left the foreign object deep inside the anus.
You can take antacids or PPIs to get rid of acidity or
gastritis that may be causing you abdominal discomfort due to food or
water allergy. Take bland food for a couple of days, avoid taking spicy, oily food. Stay away from alcohol, smoking & recreational drugs.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
