Should I Be Worried About The Blood In Stools After A Subtotal Hysterectomy?
Two and a half weeks ago I had a Subtotal Hysterectomy and a Sacral Colpopexy and mesh sling surgery. a week after the surgery I was hospitalized because my bowels shut down or had a blockage. since then I have sort of had regular bowel movements. Today after 2 days I had a bowel movement and there was a small trace of blood. should I be really worried about this?
Blood in stools may be caused by various reason. commonly its due to constipation or some worm occupying your gut. But after a major surgery in abdomen especially after hysterectomy means some times there may be shut down of gut movements after the surgery which may become normal after a few walk or at sometimes some injury over gut might have happened at the time of surgery.
