Should I Be Worried For Blood From Ear While Using Q-tip?

I was cleaning out my ear with a q-tip (i dont use q-tips often because I know they re bad) but when I did I found a little bit of blood from my ear on it. My ear isn t bleeding a lot, most of the blood is gone. But is this something I should worry about?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Minor trauma to the skin, such as a cut or wound, may cause bleeding from the outer ear. In this case, there will probably be no other symptoms other than minor pain at the site of the injury. A skin injury may also occur while using a Q-tip or trying to clean out earwax aggressively. There is nothing to be worried.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
