Should I Be Worried If I Have No Definite Colloid Identified On My Thyroid?
I have been told that I have a moderate yield of hurthie cells and there is blood in the background with no definite colloid identified on my left thyroid ,I had my right one removed 6 years ago with the same cells which I was not told about should I be worried and have it removed as soon as possible. thank you.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. You have thyroid FNAC report and it suggest hurthle cells and blood only with out colloid. It means you don't have any colloid goitre. Colloid is normally not present. But it is commonly seen in benign colloidal goitre. SO you may have either hurthle cell adenoma or some other pathology with hurthle cells. Please tell me your histopathology report of right thyroidectomy and your T3, T4 and TSH level so that I can help you further. Hope I have answered your question. If you have any doubts then feel free to ask me. I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
