Should I Consult A Doctor For Constant Pelvic Pain?
I have been having pelvic pain for the last few months. It is on and off but most days it is a dull but constant period type pain but occasionally it is a strong stabbing pain. I have an IUD so I don t get a period. I recently had a pelvic ultrasound but my GP has closed down since. My results say: Uterus is anteverted 56 X 33 X 46mm Anterior uterine body intramural fibroid is present 19 X 10 X 12mm Cervix measure 28mm Endometrial thickness 3.5mm Mirena satisfactory position 3.8mm from upper margin of endometrial lining Right ovary measures 5mls and shows small solid appearing avascular round lesion 9mm which may represent complex/ haemorrhagic follicle. Left ovary measures 5mls and shows 12mm follicle. No adnexal mass or free fluid. Should I be seeking further advice?
You might be experiencing pain due to the haemorrhagic follicle in your right ovary. You can take Meftal Spas for pain, you are also having an intramural fibroid which might need an invasive procedure in future as at this point it’s quite small and nothing is to be done rather than keeping it under observation. I suggest you repeat a USG pelvis after 3 months for the status of fibroid.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
