Should I Continue Nystalocal Or Dactacort For Sensitive, Peeling Skin On Glands Post-treatment?

hello. Recently I had tinea cruris. My doctor prescribed flucozal 50 mg for 7 days and dactacort cream in the morning and nystalocal cream in the evening for 15. It has been cured but now my penis gland has got infection. after seeing it he told me it is the same issue and moved to my glands due to friction with affected area. He told me to use nystalocal for a few days more and should be ok. After stopping nystalocal skin is very sensitive , peeling off and glands are become white and some red areas. Should i continue using nystalocal or dactacort or is this means that is going to heal by itself wit new skin?

Hello,

You are advised not to touch, scratch or pick it. Maintain good hygiene. Tinea curie is spreading means that it is getting warm, humid condition. Fungal infection spreads very quickly if you are wearing sweaty or dirty undergarments. Take bath regularly. Keep your private area dry. Whenever you sweat, change your clothes and get it washed immediately. Always wear fresh soft cotton clothes. If required take bath twice or thrice a day. Since the penile skin has become very sensitive and peeling don't let it brush against clothing.

Stay away from any kind of sexual activity. Give yourself time to heal. Take a course of oral antifungal medicines and apply a thin layer of Soframycin ointment so that the affected area is comfortable. It will heal in a week or 10 days. To be on the safer side, get a STD test done if symptoms worsen. No worries, even if test comes positive, you will be treated with antibiotics or antivirals.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
