Should I Continue Skin Peeling And Dermaroller As New Dark Patches Are Appearing?

I had malesma for several years now - on the cheeks. I did chemical skin peeling with a dermatologist (4 sessions) and dermaroller (2 sessions). I still see new dark patches appearing on the skin - although the ones I had have lightened just a bit. Do I need to continue with the treatment?

Hello,

You may continue with chemical peeling though derma roller has little if any effect on melasma. I suggest you to also use a sunscreen regularly, to protect your skin from sun. You may also use a skin lightening cream at night e.g. either kojic acid or glycolic acid cream to help with your melasma.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
