Should I Continue Taking Norethindrone Acetate For Missed Periods If I Can T Take 3 Pills A Day?

Age -22 Query - I missed my periods from 2 months( 10 nov skip )(10 December which is tomorrow I ll complete 2 months) Medication - Norethindrone Acetate Tablets U.S.P REGESTRONE ( It is prescribed to take 3 pills in one day but i cannot take it pains alot) I had protected sex on 4 nov and I did a pregnancy test on 2 December which came out as negative. What should I do. And I can t take 3 pills a day how should I take this medicine.?

Hello,

If the high dose is difficult for you, your doctor may suggest a different hormonal approach or a lower-dose regimen. Consult your treating doctor. Some regimens use 1 or 2 pills per day instead of 3. Stopping suddenly may cause irregular bleeding or delay your period further. Since you had protected sex and your pregnancy test was negative, your chances of being pregnant are low.
