Should I Discontinue Norcolut Taken To Delay Period After Period Started?

Hello, i went to ask a doctor to delay my period for a trip next week. I having been starting around the 18th and the doctor prescribed me Norcolut (one tablet to be taken twice a day) to be taken from 14th. On 13th it looked like my period was starting early but nothing came on 14th and i did not take the Norcolut that day either. Still nothing on 15th so i started the Norcolut. I have taken 3 tablets so far and my period has started. What should i do? Should i continue with the tablets or stop. If i stop, will it mess up my period and then go over the day of my trip which is on 23rd?

Hi,
It seems because of the irregularity of menstrual cycle& the pills regieme for delaying menses could not be successful. The pills taken at improper time has disturbed normal flow of menses.
-Your period started inspite of taking Norcolut for 3 days.Meaning that the tablet did not stop the bleeding once started. If you continue to take it,it may stop after few days but may start in between ( as it has now)
If you stop pills now, because of the pills taken earlier,the bleeding may stop for few days followed by withdrawal bleeding-which may again clash with trip .
In case ,you are going to face either tension of uncertain bleeding Or you will have discomfort of menses ,during this trip.
I feel it's better to stop the pills & be prepared for menses,will be better option than having tentsion of uncertainity all the time.
Lesson to learn is it's better to the hormone treatment plan Or ask your doctor in time.
