Should I Get A Second Opinion For TSH 36 And Menopause At 36?

Hello! I am 36 years old and was going to an infertility doctor. The last visit that I had I thought that I was pregnant due to a missed period and was told that I have a FSH of 52 and was in menopause! This was shocking to me due to it all of a sudden happening. Should I get a second opinion or accept it for what it is.

Hi dear and thanks for your query.

Fsh level of 52 is too large .
Hence if you have a missed periods and FSH= 52 ,you are at perimenopause.
You should have 12 months without periods to be menoupasal women.
If you want to see your ovarian reserve you can do AMH.

All the best

Hello.
considering your age of 36 and fsh value of 56 which unduly high indicates premature ovarian failure which means your ovary are no more producing eggs. Ideally LH and FSH both are done .if the lh/fsh ratio is less than 1, it indicates ovarian failure and a pre mature menopause.

i would suggest you repeat these tests from another lab and then get yourself evaluated again by the gynae.this would remove any kind of biasness in your mind and if the results are similar then we would have to accept it as an ovarian failure .
regards
