Should I Get Tested For An STD After A Possible Exposure?
Hello, I deep kissed a girl and there was fingering involved. After the kiss, I used a tissue to wipe my lip when I noticed something red on it. It might be blood or lipstick I am not sure of it. Also while fingering there was a slight superficial cut that I had some time ago.
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
As long as your sex partner remains free of HIV symptoms, you need not worry. When you are unable to know her status, it is better to have a test for HIV 12 weeks after the incident. It seems kissing had less risk as it could be lipstick stain in the tissue paper whereas with the fingering, with an open wound, we certainly cannot rule out HIV risk.
