Should I Go To ER After Being Hit By Hard Wood On Head?

Hi I was on the stairs and I lent through the banister to pass my partner something an as I lent back to go upstairs I hit my head hard on the hard wood above me. Its hurting still now. My face is burning. I feel sick and have a headache is this serious or ok?

It could be a concussion due to banging you head hard on wood. If you didnot have any loss of conciousness, any bleed you can first try out simple pain killer like Naproxen thrice daily and apply ice. if situation doesnot improve you may require some radiological tests.At present i donot thinkyou should worry.Pls visit you family physician for checkup if you are tense.
