Should I Have Lasik Surgery For 400+ Degree In Both Eyes?

Hi! This is Evelyn here. I'm 47 years old. Of late my eyesight has been deteriorating. I wear glasses for reading and use the same pair of spectacles to watch television too. I think my degree is about 400+ for both eyes. Would you recommend me for Lasik?

Hello
It seems from the history that you are having a refractive error of + 4.0 indicating it is hypermetropia.
Since you are 47 years old undergoing lasik at this age is usually not recommended. As can correct only hypermetropia and since you are having presbyopia also it won't correct the near vision.
Hence if you want to undergo refractive surgery you can undergo conductive keratoplasty which can correct both hypermetropia and presbyopia.
Hence I advice you to consult your doctor for examination and treatment accordingly.

Thank you
