Should I Resume Birth Control Medication While Bleeding Excessively After Discontinuing One?

Hello, I ve been on the birth control Nexoplan for almost a year now and I ve had very irregular periods since ive had it the clinic that I got my birth control inserted at gave me 3 months of birth control pills to help regulate it , which actually stopped my period completely but then after I ran out of the pills and stopped taking them, my period lasts for about 2 or 3 weeks and now im bleeding again for about 4 weeks and counting now and it doesn t look like it s going to stop. What would be your suggestion on what i should do ? Should I just change birth controls all together ? Thank you for your time.

Hello,

You can resume the contraceptive pills.
If bleeding persists you can take drugs like Tranexemic acid to control bleeding.

Hope I have answered your query.
Let me know if I can assist you further.
