Should I See A Doctor For Severe Pain In The Knees After An Injury?
Hi , I hyperextended my knee playing baseball however i do not feel as though my injury is serious enough to go see a doctor. I say this because i have torn my ACL in my other knee before and felt an excruciating ammount of pain and heard a loud popping noise. In this case I felt my knee hyperextend and felt immediate discomfort. The injury occurred 1 week ago and i sometimes feel as though my knee is unstable, i walk fine; however my knee has buckled a few times since.. Should i go see a doctor or just ice and elevate the knee and rest
As of now, you can use analgesics/anti-inflammatory combination like Aceclofenac/Serratiopeptidase for symptomatic relief. Apply ice packs and elevate the limb.
If symptoms persist better to consult an orthopedician and plan for an MRI scan.
