Should I Take Thyroxine Or Levothyroxine While Having High TSH And Hypothyroid Symptoms?

Hi doctor, I am 29yrs old, now I have symptoms with loss of hair, weakness, fatigue, constipation, sensitivity to cold, some time sweating, tachycardia, muscle cramps. I checked thyroid test, then the FT3 - 3. 73( ), FT4 - 8.35 , TSH - 8.595 . (During the pregnant period started hypothyroidism. That time i taken thyrorm 25mcg. After delivery I continued that tablet till 6months. And i stopped. After 6 months, 1year i checked TFT. That time the result was normal. ) But now I checked then the TSH is high and have cheif complaints. (I wrote in the first sentence) Now which tablet and dosage I should take ? Thyroxine Or levo thyroxine

Hi,

Symptoms mentioned are classical of hypothyroid and even TSH is high in subclinical range. In case of asymptomatic subclinical hypothyroidism, with anti TPO and anti-thyroid peroxidase being positive, symptomatic subclinical hypothyroidism appears to be the case. Please get anti-TPO and anti thyroid peroxides test. Consult a physician for treatment.
