Should I Take Emergency Contraception Due To The Break In Taking Birth Control Pills?
Hi, I take microgynon but have now been given rigevidon due to NHS cutting costs. I was on my 7 day break when I went to the doctors (finished taking my last pack on the thurs) and I was going to start rigevidon on the normal 8th day. However, I saw in the information pack it says not to have a break but I was already on a break. I normally use condoms as well, but last night the condom broke. I started my period today but I was just wondering whether I need to consider emergency contraception due to the break? Thanks
If you forget a pill on the last day, it is not a problem because they are inactive in that period. Your period started as well so you don't need emergency pills. There is no chance of getting pregnant so just leave the emergency pill.
