I have had the flu, now I have ringing, Echo and blockage in my left ear. My nurse practitioner has treated it with sudafed, a beclomethasone dip.. Nasal spray for 3 days and no help. Should I go to oral steroids blast as my nurse practitioner is saying?
I have gone through your question and understand your concerns.
As per your clinical details, it appears to be Et tube dysfunction.ear is connect by nose by et ( Eustachian tube) , whenever this tube blocked ( cold, flu, sinusitis, allergy) you feel ear block sensation, you need decongestant nasal drops 3 drops/ 3 time/1 week. oral decongestants, valsalva manoeuvre ( watch utube video), chew chewing gum can be tried. For the prescription, you need to see an ent surgeon.
Hope, I have answered your query.
Wishing you good health.
