Should I Take Penicillin During Pregnancy?

Hi, I went to the doctor and didn't get a strep culture but the doc perscribed penicillin based on how red my throat was and my glads were swollan. I have since come down with major cold symptoms, coughing, sneezing, aches. i am also 8 weeks pregnant, should I be taking penicillin?

You can take penicillin in view of your symptoms. As you are pregnant for 8 weeks you can take amoxycillin - a broad spectrum penicillin as it is considered as safer drug during pregnancy.
