Should I Take Plan B After Having Unprotected Sex?

Hello, I am an nineteen year old female. I had unprotected sex yesterday. My partner did not use a condom nor did he pre-ejaculate inside me. Nothing ripped or popped inside me put I did bleed a little. My period is expected to come sometime next week or the following. I cannot decide whether or not I should consider the plan B pill or wait. Please give me suggestions. Thank you.

Hello,

Condom and pulled out method both have high failure rate (15 to 27%). Therefore, I suggest to take Plan B at the earliest to avoid minimal chances of unwanted pregnancy.

You will get withdrawal bleeding within 5 to 7 days and next period may be delayed for 1-2 weeks due to hormonal imbalance. You must undergo one home pregnancy test if period is delayed more than 7 days.

Practice safe sex and good luck.
