Should I Take Sumatriptan And Gabapentin For Migraines While Suffering From Leukemia?
Hello, If the MRI was ok then brain surgery like in your doctor s case won t do anything, there is no nerve to decompress. Sumatriptan and gabapentin can be taken for migraine. Sumatriptan is for treatment of acute crisis while gabapentin more for prevention. However, since gabapentin is not working I think another preventive medication should be tried. An antidepressant would be a possible choice like amitriptyline. So you should discuss that possibility with your doctor. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Olsi Taka, Neurologist
