Should Lyrica Be Stopped In Case Of Swelling In The Feet?

I have been on Lyrica for one week and it has worked great on severe neck pain. My doctor has prescribed 50mg in the morning and the same dosage at night. My feet are swelling and he is out of town for a week. Should I stop taking it? I am not sure the swelling is due to the Lyrica as I tend to retain fluids and it is extremely hot and humid outside.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Continue Lyrica as it is a good choice for pain related conditions. If the swelling persist for long, consult a physician and get evaluated.

Wishing good health.
