Hello and welcome.

Montelukast can be used as an anti-histamine which can be taken in the mornings as it is said to not cause any drowsiness, so I wonder how you are experiencing drowsiness with this medication. Other common side effects include hyperventilation, abdominal pain, headaches, joint pain, sweating, tightness of chest, difficulty swallowing, etc.

Hope this helps.

Best wishes.
