Should Prozac Be Given Instead Of Remeron Due To Non-functioning Symptoms?
My daughter was prescribed 15 mg Remeron along with a mood stabilizer 3 days ago. She was diagnosed as bipolar within the last week. Prior to that she was having positive results with Prozac. The doctor changed her from Prozac to 15 mg remeron because of the bipolar. Only problem is, she cannot function. She has been on it 3 days and sleeps 15 hours at night and is drowsy during the day. It is a long weekend and I do not have access to her regular doctor. Am I able to take her off the remeron and place her back on the Prozac. She is 13 years old and is 100 pounds. At this rate, she will be unable to return to school. She is going to bed at 7:30 at night.
