Should A Medical Check Up Be Done For Dizziness While On Antibiotics For An Eye Infection?
I went to the ER about a week ago for a infection around my eye. I previously had a sinus infection about a month before hand. In the ER the doctor asked about the sinus infection , which I thought was better because the pain was in my eye. Now being on antibiotics my eye has cleared up but my sinuses started having a huge amount of pressure that makes me dizzy and my vision has not fully recovered from my eye infection. I have 3 more days on a 10 day course of clindamycin. Should I go back in and get it checked out, or wait for the antibiotics to work?
Wait for the antibiotic to work first. Have an x-ray, PNS and if haziness of sinuses still presents then change of antibiotic should be done.
If there is recurrent infection round the eye then swab from the wound be taken for culture and sensitivity.
Now the most effective antibiotic can be changed. Vision may not be affected around the eye. Fundus examination should be done to know the cause of vision deterioration.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Take care
